Course description
This is for people who are working in the early years sector including; full day care, children’s centres, preschools, reception classes and as childminders
An EYE will do assessment and planning on the children and ensure their needs are being met. They may assist with monitoring the child or young person’s physical, cognitive, social emotional and behaviour, moral and communication development. They will also mentor other staff members within the setting.
You must be employed in one of the above settings to do this course.

Suitability - Who should attend?
To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
- live in England
You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change or you’re upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.
Expenses
Participants can enrol in the training course through either self-funding or company sponsorship.
