Course description
This is for people who are working as a manager in the residential care sector who are experienced within the job and/or industry. To do this course you must be employed within the residential sector. They have responsibility for overseeing the company’s day to day running, ensuring staff members are supported and the children and young people’s needs are met. The diploma is in place to assess the learner’s competency relating to the Residential Childcare Management sector and is an industry requirement. Entry Requirements - Undertake the Disclosure and Barring Service process and provide the result.
To do this course you must be employed within the sector.

Suitability - Who should attend?
To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
- live in England
You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change or you’re upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.
Expenses
Participants can enrol in the training course through either self-funding or company sponsorship.
