Course description
This one-day course will look at how, as nurses, we approach the initial treatment of patients who have encountered traumatic wounds and their ongoing treatment. We will look at the different treatment options available, whilst also discussing analgesia and potential risks to the healing of the wound. Wound management is one area of veterinary nursing in which we can excel in, and improve our standards of care.Triage of the patient and the initial treatment.

• Long term management
• Infection control and antibiosis
