Course description
Emergency and critical care patients present to all veterinary practices, and nurses play an essential role in caring for them. This course will introduce you to a framework, which can be used when nursing critical patients to ensure their individual requirements are met during hospitalisation. Several advanced topics linked with the framework will be covered in further detail, including acid base, blood gas analysis and ECGs. The day will conclude with a theoretical and practical session on CPCR.

- Kirby’s rule of 20 – nursing framework
- Acid base and blood gas analysis
- Practical ECGs
- CPCR including practical session
