Course description
This online course provides an overview of the relationship between energy and the environment. On this course, you will gain an understanding of the global carbon cycle and the greenhouse effect, the theory of man-made climate change and the global response, the energy mix and future low-carbon possibilities, the impact the energy trilemma may have on future energy investments, geopolitical energy security, risks of future low carbon scenarios on buildings and future mitigation actions.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is recommended for those with 1-2 years' experience in energy management. Although there are no official prerequisites, it is recommended that you have at least A level maths or equivalent.

CPD hours: 10
Successful completion of this course results in the EI Level 2 Certificate in Energy and the environment.
This course also forms one of the modules of the EI's longer Level 2: Energy Management Professional course and qualification.
