CIMA Professional Strategic
This is the final stage of CIMA, so are you ready to develop your leadership and strategic management abilities? At this level, you’ll learn about risk management and financial strategy, and bring together everything you’ve learned in the previous levels.
After completing this level, and with relevant work experience, you’ll be fully qualified, and can become a Chartered Management Accountant. You could be a Financial Controller or Financial Manager, and earn over £60,000 a year – or more with experience.

You must have done CIMA Professional Management to start this level.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
On successful completion of the practical experience requirements, students will be admitted to associate membership and granted the associate chartered management accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designations.
Training Course Content
By the end of the Strategic level, you will have learned about Strategic and Risk Management, as well as Financial Strategy.
The level is made up of three Objective Tests and a Case Study.

E3 Strategic Management
You’ll develop your skills and abilities to become an effective leader, so you’re able to both formulate strategy and create the conditions for successful strategy implementation.

P3 Risk Management
You’ll learn how to specify and manage risks that could affect a company’s strategies.

F3 Financial Strategy
You’ll learn about different financial strategies that are open to businesses, and the factors that influence them.
Course content:
- Financial policy decisions
- Sources of long term funds
- Financial risks
- Business Valuations
As well as the Objective Tests, you’ll do a Case Study. This is where you’ll put your learning to the test with a real-life scenario. Using the skills gained during the level, you’ll resolve issues that a management accountant may come across at work.

Continuing Studies
After completing this level, the world is your oyster. You could start out as a Financial Controller or Financial Manager, but you could become a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). And with regards to salary, you’re looking at around £60,000 a year, but it will only increase with experience.
