Suitability - Who should attend?
This CeMAP course would be ideal for individuals who are looking to change careers and become a Mortgage Adviser, or work in a bank. Alternatively, this training will also enable you to open your own business and work for yourself as a Mortgage Adviser.
Once you have passed your exams, you will gain your licence to practise as a Mortgage Adviser, which is a legal requirement to practice in the UK.
As there are no prerequisites to enrol onto this course, anyone can sign up to study for a CeMAP training course. It is recommended that you have a good understanding of the English language and basic maths.

Accreditation: Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP)
During this CeMAP course, you will learn the skills, and gain the knowledge required to pass your official CeMAP exams and become a qualified Mortgage Adviser.
- CeMAP Module 1- Covers Units 1 & 2, which explores the Financial Services Environment, product range, UK Financial Services regulation, Data Protection, the FCA regulation, and UK taxation.
- CeMAP Module 2- Covers Units 3, 4, 5, and 6, which will teach you about the mortgage application process, and potential issues borrowers may face, as well as mortgage law.
- CeMAP Module 3- Covers Unit 7, which will show you how to apply all that you have learnt throughout Modules 1 and 2, into typical scenarios that you will encounter throughout your career as a Mortgage Adviser.

There is a need for certified Mortgage Advisers in the UK, and with your CeMAP training you will be able to apply for a range of different jobs, making now an ideal time to train. The average salary for a Mortgage Adviser in the UK is £30k per annum, however, your earning potential will be much higher than this, due to your commission. On target earnings can exceed £50k per annum after your commission has been added.
