What is Accredited CPD?
Accredited CPD courses in the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health recognize the fact that health professionals are involved in a continuous process of professional and personal growth. Designed to be flexible to suit the needs of contemporary workers, the Durham School of Medicine and Health now offers Accredited CPD courses which aim to help participants develop a wide range of additional skills, experience and knowledge and gain formal University credits in recognition of achievements.
Why do Accredited CPD?
Whether your goal is to develop your professional knowledge and skills, demonstrate your professional standing to clients, obtain membership of a professional body or even change your career path, accredited Continuing Personal Development is increasingly seen as an excellent way to systematically maintain and develop your professional competence.
Accredited CPD at Durham University, Queen's Campus
Recognizing that the needs of each applicant are different, under the Durham system, individual modules from each of the School of Medicine, Pharmacy & Health taught postgraduate courses can be taken as accredited CPD.
Durham University recognises the credits gained on individual modules, which means credits awarded can be applied against future programmes of study. Each taught module constitutes 15 credits, baring Quantitative and Qualitative Health Research Methods that constitutes 30 credits each.
CPD courses are delivered at the Queen's Campus, Stockton through short intensive classroom teaching blocks.
