The is designed for middle managers working in specialist functional areas of the logistics & transport industry such as transport planning, inventory management, warehousing, procurement, production planning or supply chain management.
This distance learning course is highly flexible and geared towards giving candidates the opportunity to improve their management skills, while simultaneously deepening their specialist technical knowledge. The programme therefore consists of one mandatory unit on management principle and practice, and then allows students to choose three additional modules from a range of elective and optional units. These cover a broad range of topics, from international business to retail logistics, making the qualification relevant to professionals from a number of different backgrounds.

The CILT Level 5 Professional Diploma in Logistics and Transport is suitable for middle managers with operational responsibility for a specialist functional area such as supply chain management, transport operations, transport planning, warehousing, procurement, production planning or inventory management.
Assessment & Qualification
Students must sit a combination of examinations and written assignments. CILT exams can be sat at Distance Learning College, in the workplace or in the CILT head office (Corby).
Successful candidates will be awarded the CILT Level 5 Professional Diploma in Logistics and Transport.
