Course description
Science IGCSE (Single Award) Course
The Science IGCSE (Single Award) Course offers students the opportunity to gain a single IGCSE qualification covering different aspects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students who want to study Science to a higher level should consider the Double Award Course or the three single science subjects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
It is estimated that this course will take up to 300 hours of study to complete and will require more study than other single award IGCSE's. If students are completing this course so they can progress into teaching or child care then we recommended studying a single science such as biology, unless it has been specified that you need a combined science qualification.
Effective learning is encouraged through frequent activities and self-assessment questions. There are fourteen tutor-marked assignments including three practice exam assignments.
