Course description
Hybrid teams include team members who are based part of the time in the office, apart from home, and perhaps part from a third-place such as a coworking space or coffee shop, or a mixture of all of these. Hybrid teams are not new; in many virtual teams, there is a dominant location where several people are based, and other people are part of the team but rarely get face-to-face. However, COVID-19 has increased the number and complexity of these teams in the medium term and perhaps permanently. In today’s hybrid teams, we may have a variety of working modes: people working full time in the office, people who attend for part of the week, and people who are permanently home-based or working from other remote locations. Coordinating this activity and building effective teams where people have very different experiences of work is a new challenge for many managers and individuals.
This course is rooted in the recognition that hybrid work models have become the new norm, and it provides actionable strategies for navigating this complex environment with precision and confidence. This course encourages participants to reflect on the opportunities and challenges of working in a hybrid team and gives a framework of skills and strategies to motivate and engage teams. Through practical exercises, cutting-edge insights, and real-world scenarios, this course equips individuals and organisations with the tools to leverage the benefits of hybrid work while mitigating its many challenges.
