Process Leader Level 4

Process leaders are responsible for ensuring that business processes are well-designed, efficiently executed, and aligned with the overall strategic objectives of the organisation. Process Leadership Training

The Process Leader Level 4apprenticeship has been designed by industry for industry, to target the key skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for individuals and organisations to be successful in the manufacturing sector. What is more, as an apprenticeship, it is fully funded for those organisations that pay into the apprenticeship levy.

Delegates will direct production activities and operations and deliver against core production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Process Leaders effectively lead and manage large teams as well as providing technical/specialist input and direction to their own team and to others. Process Leader are responsible for determining and managing budgets and resources. They use core production KPIs as the basis of the continuous improvement cycle and undertake and manage quality resolutions.

Suitability - Who should attend?

Who's it for?

The Process Leader Level 4 apprenticeship is suitable for individuals responsible for managing and improving production or operational processes within their organisation. It is ideal for those in leadership roles who oversee teams, implement strategies for efficiency, and ensure the smooth running of production or service operations.

Example job titles include Production Supervisor, Process Leader, Cell Leader, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Team Leader and so on. This apprenticeship helps develop the skills needed to manage resources, drive process improvements, and lead teams effectively to achieve operational excellence.

Programme Outcomes

Qualification: Level 4 Process Leader Apprenticeship Qualification (designed to be recognised by relevant Professional Engineering Institutions such as the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for at the appropriate level of professional registration (EngTech).

Measurable Impact: Each work based project carried out as part of the end point assessment will be defined, qualified and approved within a Profit Improvement Plan (PIP), agreed with delegates and their employers in advance. The PIP is a great management tool and clearly demonstrates the progress of each project using DMAIC and a RAG rating.

Mentors: We can help identify, and advise on a suitable Mentor within your organisation. We are able to provide coaching to the nominated Mentor so that they fully understand their role and what will be required of them, but also understand the guidelines within which they operate and to whom they report.

Other support: We will help the learner and organisation identify a mentor and supply training if needed. The learner and mentor will be invited to engagement session prior to any start dates, to get a flavour for the course and to set expectations. We will hold regular governance meetings with the organisation to keep everything on track and, as part of the programme, support with key functional skills in English and Maths, for which the learner will attain level 2 qualification.
