Course delivery details
This course is run on a flexible basis, on demand. Tutors teach units during day-time online delivery sessions as well as tutorial-based afternoon sessions, with GoToMeeting support and assessment feedback. Since you have chosen to study this course by distance learning you will have regular online sessions with the tutor at mutually convenient times.
This flexi basis of learning suits most people because its saves time and money and helps you to take a course whilst still working. We have to sacrifice in depth teaching which takes hours and therefore costs more, to focus more on assessment. Ultimately you will not achieve the Diploma if you become a brilliant Java programmer, but will if you understand enough to pass each of the assignments. There are 15 units in total. There are a number of pathways you can take.
Nevertheless if you are enthused and do good work we will reward you with the higher grades and where you fall a little short we will encourage you and give guidance. Obtaining Merits and in some cases Distinctions will go a long way to helping you achieve job prospects.
Expenses
You can pay as you go and the emphasis will be on being disciplined enough to get on with the assignments with minimum tutor support.
