NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
What does the qualification cover?
This qualification will provide an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children or young people in primary, secondary or special schools. It includes learning about children and young people’s development, safeguarding their welfare, and communication.
Who is it suitable for?
The Level 3 Certificate is suitable for those working in unsupervised roles that support pupils’ learning.
What are the entry requirements?
You should be at least 16 years old.
How many credits are required to complete the qualification?
The Certificate requires 32 credits. Credits from the Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools can be carried over and counted towards the Certificate.
How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
Do you need to be working to take the qualification?
Learners taking the Certificate will need to be working or volunteering in a school environment as they will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
How long does it take to complete?
You can usually complete it in a year.
