Course description
Mental Health Awareness
Mental health is an umbrella term that covers all aspects of mental health wellbeing. It is not only about people with mental health problems.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines mental health as a ‘state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community’. (WHO, 2005)
Everyone has mental health and we can all find ways to improve our mental health just as we can improve our physical health. This course will help you find ways you can improve your mental health.
