Course description
Certificate in International Construction Management
In the course, there are 3 technical modules running over 7 months. Module 1 looks at the construction project environment, and how to understand construction markets, work with partners, evaluate relevant laws and regulations, and manage different resources. Module 2 covers the project development stage and construction lifecycle, looking in depth at the required project roles and appointing the right people, demonstrating feasibility to clients, and preparing project briefs and plans. Module 3, will then look in detail at project delivery. This module covers all aspects of managing the commercial and time aspects of the project, including procurement and contracts. You will also look at risk management, health and safety and quality requirements essential to any project.
In addition, the course will also contain a short module with essential information on the CIOB and how to become a member or fellow of the institute.
In summary, the course will provide you with all the skills and knowledge to plan, develop and execute construction projects whether in foreign markets or with international or more local partners, and the opportunity to understand how to gain membership to the world’s largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This programme is for construction professionals, normally qualified to at least first-degree level, or those with experience in the construction sector and need an in-depth understanding of how to manage a construction project.
