Course description
This course enables you to develop your practical skills in digital media production and communication. Your main focus of the course is Interactive Media and Games Production with written work closely supporting your practical study.
Carshalton College is an accredited Authorised Academic Training Centre and is a national hub for 3D design training for media and entertainment across the UK.

Basic planning and production organisation, including working to a brief
The course provides a thorough, broad based introduction to the above areas and, when successfully completed, is nationally recognised as being equivalent to four GCSEs at Grade C/4. Other opportunities including Functional Skills are offered as part of the programme.
The course is based in the College's purpose built, modern Creative Industries Centre which incorporates a multimedia computing suite. All areas have the latest non-linear digital audio and video editing equipment.
Suitability
This course is aimed at those who wish to gain a grounding in Media and Games Design and to eventually work in one of these industries.
Progression
On completion students have the opportunity to progress onto UAL Level 3 Diploma in Interactive Media or UAL Level 3 Diploma in Games Development.
