Course description
This course enables you to develop your skills in media production and communication.

Course Content and Job Skills
The course provides a foundation level understanding of work within Creative Industries. Learners will be introduced to working with digital video, interactive design and software as well developing skills.
The Diploma is designed to develop a range of employability skills and techniques, understanding personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in working life.
Suitability
This course is designed for young people who want a good grounding in the work and opportunities of the media industry and the associated skills needed to progress onto media-related employment. The course will also help learners develop their English, maths and employability skills, and gain a Level 1 qualification.
Assessments
Students are required to complete a portfolio (file) containing evidence of assignments, practical performance, presentations, group exercises and discussions.
Progression
After successful completion of the course, learners will be able to apply for a Level 2 course, subject to interview and grades achieved.
