Course description
This popular course introduces beginners to the basics of print-making techniques, but includes scope for more experienced students to extend their knowledge and skills in traditional and contemporary practice.
We have a dedicated, well-equipped, specialist print studio. You will be taught by an experienced tutor who is also a practising print-maker.
Ten-week sessions cover Relief printmaking including techniques such as Mono-print, Lino and Collagraphs in the first term, Screen-printing in the second term and Intaglio printmaking techniques such as Drypoint, in the third term. All abilities welcome, you will be working in a mixed ability group.
Some basic materials will be supplied throughout the course but you may need to purchase further specialist materials.
Recruitment - if we do not recruit to our target numbers we will try to offer the courses at reduced hours, or merge classes on different nights.
