Course description
ISO 19650 Delivering Information Management in Practice
The second step towards BRE Global BIM Certification, this course provides a practical approach to better information management using BIM.
ISO 19650 is a series of international standards that provide guidance for managing information throughout the lifecycle of buildings and other construction projects using Building Information Modelling (BIM). This suite of international standards forms part of the UK BIM Framework.
Learning about ISO 19650 provides construction professionals with standardised guidelines for effective information management using BIM. Conforming to ISO 19650 can enhance project delivery, reduce errors, and improve decision-making, ultimately leading to cost savings and higher-quality built assets.
Developed by BRE’s team of BIM experts, ISO 19650 Delivering Information Management in Practice is a one-day course designed to equip learners to realise the benefits of information management using BIM.
This comprehensive course suits those implementing information management within their organisation, or assisting their clients or supply chains with undertaking the information manager role.
Comprising four modules, the course covers the information management function, information requirements, BIM execution planning, and the production of information.
The course presents examples of documents to help learners develop a deeper understanding of how to effectively implement information management principles within their own projects.
