Course description
Our teaching qualifications are aimed at individuals who want to enter the teaching profession in a support role and provide a gateway to more advanced teaching qualifications.
They are suitable for individuals who want to work with individual or groups of children supporting pupils with differing abilities as well as undertaking duties that free up a teacher’s time.
This competence based qualification is suitable for those working or intending to work in a school in a support role assisting the learning of students in schools Candidates will be able to work in roles in specialist schools including primary and secondary schools.

To achieve the Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, learners must achieve 32 credits in total from the following units.

Those taking the certificates or diploma will need to be working in a role that allows them to demonstrate those learning outcomes relating to practice in their day to day work. Those taking the qualifications could be:
full or part-time
permanent or temporary
employed by the school or local authority
school-based or peripatetic
working in a maintained, non-maintained or independent school.
How Will The Course Run
Assessment Method/Assessor Support: This will be undertaken via a combination of assignment work and practical work based observation
You will have regular face to face contact with your assessors and this will also include 1 to 1 sessions and group session. Outside lesson time contact can be made with your assessor via the telephone, video call and online chat via our system.
Online: You will be given access to BOCK’s G Drive online system which gives you access to free word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications and also allows you to work from desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones from any location.
Our system will contain all your learning materials and also your online portfolio where you will be able to store your work electronically and receive feedback from your assessors.
