Balance Sheet Analysis
Balance Sheet Analysis
The Balance Sheet Analysis workshop introduces the various elements that make up a balance sheet and shows where these are positioned on the balance sheet itself. This course seeks to ensure that all participants leave with a far greater understanding of what might be behind the numbers. They will leave this course with the ability to ask the right questions and to consider why the numbers on the Balance Sheet are as they are.
The balance sheet provides a 'snapshot' of an organisation at a particular point in time. It indicates the organization's financial strength, providing information about what the it owns (assets), what it owes (liabilities), and the 'book value' of the business. Ratio analysis can also be performed on the balance sheet in order to gain valuable insight into the organization's performance.
