The postgraduate certificate National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) is mandatory for all SENCOs who are new to the role since 2009 and must be achieved within three years of taking up the post. This programme consists of two academic 30 credit Masters modules (EDM746 and EDM761) and one year-long non-credit-bearing module (EDM748) which supports the completion of a professional portfolio of evidence designed to meet all the learning outcomes of the National Award.
Our Postgraduate provision will be run online, with some face to face tutorials where required. The on-campus elements will vary depending on each tutor and will be discussed with students beforehand.
The course is undergoing academic revalidation during this academic year.
