Ever wondered how the hair and make-up effects you have seen in film, video or photo have been created? This course will enable you to learn key elements of performance and image make-up, fashion and photography make-up and skin camouflage, including: - Media make-up (special effects) - Camouflage make-up - Fashion and photographic make-up - Applying prosthetic pieces and bald caps - Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon - Client care and communication in beauty related industries - Style and fit postiche (wigs, facial hair and hairpieces) - Apply airbrush make-up to the face You will also learn about the history of make-up, and begin to see where such skills can take you TV, film or internet media for example. You will also enhance your customer service skills and team-work.

Suitability - Who should attend?
To join this course you must have undertaken training in media make-up or a very similar subject. You must have 4 GCSEs at A* to C grade, PLUS a Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy, or a Level 2 in Hairdressing & Media Make-up or a Merit or above in a relevant Level 2 qualification, which could be hair and/or beauty.
