Looking to build you career in Architecture, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Site Engineering & Supervision?
The Higher Apprenticeship in Construction Design Management incorporates the HNC at Level 4. You could already be a site manager or project manager or are aiming for a promotion to this role. Responsibilities could include managing staff and budgets, ensuring the site is operated in a safe and secure manner, and that contracts are delivered on time. You might also survey sites, and check drawings quantities to ensure accuracy.
The Apprenticeship provides you with a comprehensive understanding of construction and the built environment and offers practical experience of the workplace, including:
- Construction and maintenance
- Conversion and adaptation
- Science and materials
- Design principles
- Technology of complex buildings
- Site surveying procedures
- Health, safety and welfare
- Computer aided-design (CAD)
- Management principles
On completion of the Higher Apprenticeship in Construction Design Management, you can obtain entrance to professional institutes. It also provides partial exemption from the examinations of some professional institutes.
