Course description
This is a very popular course and give you the necessary skills to work as a secretarial role for a solicitor or barrister. You will also be qualified to work as a secretary/administrator in any other area. The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) has worked in partnership with City & Guilds to bring you this course. This is THE course demded by the legal industry. We have excellent links with a number of leading City law firms. In previous years our students have secured coveted positions at the London office of top international legal practice, Norton Rose LLP. You will learn about the different departments of a solicitors' office and how to do Legal Audio and Legal Text Processing.

Suitability - Who should attend?
You will have at least 4 GCSEs at grade D or above, including English. If you are joining the course straight from school or college, you will need to provide a reference to show your attendance, punctuality, work ethic and general performance. We welcome applications from mature students who may not have the relevant GCSEs. Your work experience, enthusiasm and motivation to succeed and to progress will be taken into account and discussed at interview.
