Course description
If you are working in the construction industry and are keen to move into a supervisory role, and from then on to a management role, this course is ideal preparation. This is an assignment-based course that will take you through the following modules: 1. Project Planning (Construction Programmes and Product and Production Information); 2. Health and Safety (incl. CDM Regulations, Risk Assessments, Method Staements and Site Inductions); 3. Managing the Technology of Modern Construction (Foundations and Superstructure); 4. Improving Managerial Skills (Leadership, Communication, Meetings, Motivation and Managing Teams); 5. Managing the Quality of the Site Works (British Standards, Statutory Requirements); 6. Managing Dimensional Control on Sites (Surveying, Setting Out and Levelling).

Suitability - Who should attend?
You may have relevant on-site experience in an associated role of three years or more. Your English and Maths skills should be at a Level 2, and you should have some IT skills. Please discuss with staff at interview.
