What will I learn?
The BTEC Diploma in Creative Production (Television and Film) offers an exciting yet challenging opportunity for a career in the video and TV production.
This vocational learning style is completely different from the more traditional routes. BTEC combines both theory and practical skills of the moving image and digital special effects which will enable you to confidently develop your original concepts through to the final production.

How will I be taught?
You will be taught over a period of two years using the most up to date digital equipment supported by tutors and technical staff. You will have lessons in our fully equipped television studio, use of digital camera equipment and have continual access to our edit suites running Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop and After Effects (Mac and PC). This will be accompanied with theory lessons exploring the development of film and television genres, digital special effects and narrative structures, ensuring that you will be able to contextualise and develop your creativity within the industry.
How will I be assessed?
All assessment is through college set assignments, externally verified by Edexcel.
What can I do after this course?
After this course you can progress onto our BTEC HND in Creative Media Production at BDC.
Job opportunities in the idustry include: Film, Video and TV production, Radio Production and the Music Industry, Advertising, Marketing and other Media related jobs, Special Effects, other employment utilising transferable skills.

Four GCSEs at grade A* - C, including English Or Level 2 qualification at Pass or above with Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2 Plus a reference and supporting portfolio of work.
