1 Year Part-Time Musical Theatre Foundation Course

This Foundation course focuses on developing the performers’ vocal, acting and dance skills with a view to further training. It is designed for performers who have the ability and potential to pursue a career in the Musical Theatre Industry. Our courses are about individual journeys and the opportunity to expand and develop skills.

This part-time course is programmed to allow less experienced performers to continue their regular work whilst taking the opportunity to develop their skills. During an intensive 28 weeks, participants will follow a dynamic and rigorous schedule. Throughout the course they will work with established and highly experienced industry practitioners including Directors, Musical Directors, Choreographers, Vocal Coaches and Performers. The course will focus on building a suitable audition repertoire folder in addition to honing skills and laying the building blocks in Acting, Singing and Dance.

Classes will include: Acting Method | Improvisation | Sight Reading | Performance Class | Vocal Workout | Acting Through Song | Jazz (Advanced/Beginners) | Musical Theatre Routines | History of Musical Theatre | Repertoire Classes | Audition Technique | Mock Auditions.

This course is ideal for recent University graduates, new to the industry who wish to further their skills; Actors who want to break into Musical Theatre; Dancers who want to work on their singing and acting and become triple threat performers. Although the course will accept students with less performing experience than those on the professional development programmes, the standard of training is exactly the same.
