Course description
This is an introductory course to Animal Management with progression opportunities.
Learners will be based in the Animal Care Centre and take part in a mixture of practical activities with the animals and theory sessions.
Other elements of the study programme will include English, Maths either ant GCSE or Functional skills, Wellness, Tutorial and Work Experience.

Suitability - Who should attend?
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme. A school/college report and an EHCP may be a requirement, based on your support needs. Your suitability for the programme will be determined by our staff after you have attended a taster experience.
We are looking for young people with an enthusiasm to learn and a desire to make progress. We want applicants to actively take part in keep warm activities set by teachers before starting in September
Training Course Content
You will learn in a supported environment at a pace that suits you.
This course will give you an introduction to animal care and time to think about your future career. We arrange for support from our college careers advisers who are there to help you choose your next step.
You will gain a Vocational Certificate in Learning, Employability and Progression on completion of your studies.
When you complete the course, you could move on to a full-time Level 2 course, an apprenticeship or employment.
