Dog Grooming (Beginners) Intensive
Experience the practical grooming of a variety of breeds with emphasis on the correct handling, bathing, drying methods, nail care, ear care, basic scissoring and clipping techniques and basic breed styling lines.

What you’ll learn
The course focuses on developing a range of practical experience and skills on basic dogs including bathing, drying, scissoring and clipping. Tuition also covers basic anatomy, diseases, parasitology, first aid and a sound grounding in health and safety. This course does not cover the clipping and styling of the three main City and Guilds breeds, this course is designed purely as the first stage of dog grooming and is essential for those students who have no proven industry experience.
Course delivery details
Tuition is largely practically based and takes place in our grooming enterprise within the Campus. Supporting retail, reception areas and an attractive easily accessible campus with excellent student resources, create an enjoyable learning environment.
