Biology A Level (Farnham)
The study of Biology is exciting and broad, allowing you to learn about both genetics and ecology along with the causes and treatment of disease and the fundamental science that explains all living systems.

Suitability - Who should attend?
At least five GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above, including Maths and English Language. In addition you should have a grade 6 (grade B) in a Science-based subject.

- Exchange and transport
- Classification, evolution and biodiversity
- Energy for biological processes
- Microbiology and disease
- Genetics
- Control mechanisms
- Ecosystems
All 16-19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and Maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade C in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies.
Continuing Studies
Degrees or careers in medicine, genetics, forensics, biomedical science, veterinary science, pharmacology, environmental science, physiotherapy, biochemistry or marine biology.
