Training Course Content
What you'll learn
Your role will be to assume responsibility for the teaching and assessing of cohorts of learners relevant to their teaching specialism/s. Teaching in this sector is wide ranging, encompassing: social inclusion well- being; vocational preparation; core competences, such as English, mathematics and technologies; and even learning for leisure. An important feature of the Trailblazers in Education and Training is that they are a critical foundation for the delivery of all other apprenticeship programmes.
You will be expected to design and deliver programmes of learning (often in multiple environments) that will enable your learners to develop resilience and effectiveness in their future careers and as citizens. Teaching Apprentices will understand how learning, in the ‘Information Age', will need to be more self-directed, personalised and practically relevant to rapidly changing work practices and career opportunities. You may also advise and support Learning Support Workers orTeaching Assistants.

Continuing Studies
Outcomes for this standard will include a ‘sector-relevant', Level 5 teaching qualification (such as the Diploma in Education and Training or PGCE). An apprentice will also achieve qualifications in Safeguarding at Level 2. Some FEQTs, depending on the programmes taught, may require additional qualifications for assessing and quality assuring assessments, at Level 3 or 4.
On completion of the Apprenticeship the apprentice will be able to undertake the full range of duties, in the range of circumstances appropriate to the job, confidently and competently to the standard set by the industry.
The Apprentice would be a fully qualified teacher and be able to pursue QTLS.
