Course description

A new era of reporting from family courts in England and Wales began on 30 January 2023 as a pilot scheme. Under the scheme, journalists may report much more freely what goes on inside family courtrooms at certain courts. But the easing of restrictions comes with strict requirements.

This virtual classroom seminar presented by Stuart Barlow will review the new pilot scheme and the changes it will bring about. Covering transparency orders, qualifying cases, reviewing progress and the next steps towards expansion.

Stuart is a solicitor and has over 40 years’ experience in Family Law and Court litigation. He conducts most of his own advocacy and has dealt with many cases involving litigants in person.
