Course description
Performing routine nappy care in the neonatal unit can pose significant challenges. The delicate skin of pre-term babies is prone to irritation, and frequent checking and changing of nappies can disturb their sleep and induce stress, potentially affecting their health and neurological development adversely. Employing very small nappies specifically designed to fit snugly, facilitate easy changes within an incubator, and accommodate wires and leads can enhance the routine care of these vulnerable infants during their critical early stages.
